Baby Fu Dog Statues

Allerton Park in Monticello, IL features a renowned Fu Dog Garden originally commissioned in 1932, showcasing 22 blue porcelain Fu Dogs in a formal arrangement. Fu Dogs, originally temple guardians, are believed to bring good luck and protection from evil forces. 

Are you an Allerton lover and Fu Dog fanatic, or do you know one? Looking for a unique gift? These sets of Baby Fu Dogs are handmade by Julie Frith. Her father, ceramic artist and head of the Arts & Crafts Department at the University of Illinois, Don Frith, was commisioned to restore and replace the damaged and missing dogs in 1981.

These baby Fu Dog ceramic sculptures are 4 1/2" tall. Because each one is handmade color can vary slightly.
